Contrast, enforced by the build
Colour contrast is verified against WCAG 2.1 AA (SC 1.4.3) by an automated check that runs on every build. The gate is on by default and the build fails when a pairing drops under it.
Turning it off for a specific pairing is a decision we make together and write down, never one that happens quietly. And this is one success criterion, not the whole standard — full AA conformance takes an audit we have not run, so we do not claim it.

Chromium and WebKit, at phone, tablet and desktop widths, before any of it is called finished. Testing in one engine has missed real Safari failures on this project.

None of that is a promise about what we would do. It is a description of the page you are on and of terms that are already in the contract.
What does it actually cost?
It depends on how many pages there are, what already exists, and whether the project includes bespoke film and imagery. We quote after a conversation and never before one. The enquiry form asks what you have in mind to spend, so that if we are not the right fit you find that out in a day rather than after three meetings.
You’re a small studio. What happens if you disappear?
Everything we build sits on standard tools, in your accounts, under your domain. There is no proprietary platform and no licence fee to keep paying. If we vanished tomorrow, any competent developer could pick the work up and keep going, because that is how it is built on purpose.
Couldn’t I just do this on Squarespace?
Sometimes, and we will say so if that is the right answer for you. The difference is that a template makes you look like everyone else using that template, and it stops where its options stop. If your business wins by being better than the competition, looking identical to them works against you.
How long does it take?
Most projects run four to six weeks from the signed proposal. Timelines slip for one reason far more than any other: waiting on content from the client.
Who owns the site when it’s done?
You do. The finished site and its source are yours once the project is paid in full. There is no proprietary platform, no ongoing fee, and no arrangement where leaving means losing the work. The one carve-out is written into the contract: our own general-purpose tooling stays ours, and you get a permanent free licence to whatever of it is built into your site.
Do you handle hosting and updates afterwards?
Both are on the table. Some clients want the site handed to their own team at the end, and some would rather we keep hosting and maintaining it. They are priced differently, so say which one you want during the conversation and it gets quoted that way.
Can you integrate with our booking or scheduling system?
The front end is what we rebuild. Your booking engine, reservation platform, or scheduling software stays exactly where it is and keeps working. Replacing those systems is not work we take on.
Is AI used in this work?
Yes, as part of how the work gets made — including generated film and imagery where a project calls for it. It is why turnaround is weeks rather than months, and why a shot can be changed without booking a reshoot. What ships is directed and reviewed, not generated and forwarded.
What if this isn’t the year for it?
Deferring is sometimes the right call, and we will not argue with a good reason to wait. What is worth pricing is the wait itself. The site is the one room you are never in, and most people decide there before they ever call. That runs all year, either way. Four to six weeks from a yes is a site live this season rather than next. The conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
